The Ashokan Rail Trail is an 11.5 miles trail running along the northern edge of the Ashokan Reservoir. Be prepared to see magnificent views of the reservoir and foliage. You can walk these beautiful trails or even ride along the trails with a bike. If you don’t have one, you can easily rent one from a nearby rental shop. The trail is accessible from sunrise to sunset. If you are a sun chaser, you can catch a magnificent East Coast view of the sunrise or sunset!
3. Walkway Over the Hudson, Poughkeepsie
This amazing 1.28-mile walkway just 212 feet above the Hudson River is a great inclusive way to enjoy nature, indulge in panoramic views, and escape the city.
